While doing steam distillation, the oil separator enables underlayer herbal water to move to another vessel or a distillation pot through the lateral pipe, leaving only upper-layer oil in the oil separator body.
The oil separator enables continuous distillation/separation, and increases the efficiency of collecting essential oil.
